The Alliance for Responsible Intelligence (ARI) is a coalition of communities, researchers, and public-interest contributors working across AI governance, ethics, public accountability, and the future of responsible intelligence.

ARI helps communities turn shared concerns into coordinated action by providing a structure for projects, initiatives, and advocacy efforts that would be difficult to sustain or accomplish alone.

ARI exists to create common ground across groups that do not always work in close conversation with one another, including governance, safety, ethics, research, institutional, environment and lived-experience communities.

Our coalition model allows communities, experts, and institutions to collaborate across shared concerns while retaining their own autonomy, priorities, and perspectives.

As increasingly advanced systems become more socially consequential, questions of accountability, moral uncertainty, and appropriate safeguards can no longer be treated as purely theoretical.

ARI supports serious consideration of legal, ethical, and governance standards for advanced AI systems, both as a safeguard against political or corporate misuse and as a precautionary response to the growing sophistication of the systems we create.
